2008 World Series Site Selected

PITTSBURGH, PA (September 28, 2007) The National Club Softball Association is excited to announce that Cary, North Carolina and Middle Creek Park have been awarded the right to host the 2008 NCSA World Series. Middle Creek Park provides four lighted, NCAA regulation softball fields and an excellent playing surface for all of the tournament games.

Cary is located 15 miles from Raleigh, North Carolina as well as the Raleigh-Durham airport and has been the host city for many major softball events. The city of Cary also offers excellent accommodations for the teams, families and fans of the NCSA and will create an outstanding atmosphere for the National Championship event.

Tori Collins, Assistant Director of Sports Marketing for the Greater Raleigh Conventions and visitor's Bureau had this to say about the announcement: "The Greater Raleigh CVB and the Town of Cary are thrilled to have such a great organization come to our area to crown a national champion. We are excited about being the host of the 2008 NCSA National Championship and are committed to making this year's event the best NCSA Championship yet."

Sandy Sanderson, President of the NCSA added, "We are excited to be working with the City of Cary to bring the 2008 NCSA World Series to Middle Creek Park. The enthusiasm of the Cary community coupled with this world class facility will provide the necessary venue and assets to show the softball world how the NCSA has been able to take club softball to new heights."

The 2008 World Series will commence on April 17th and continue through the 19th with the 20th being held open as a rain make up day. More information on NCSA hotels and sponsors will be released as the event draws closer and will be announced at .
