Have you been looking for the perfect artisan gift for the holidays?  Do you enjoy attending fairs that give you a big dose of local flavor from the surrounding areas?  Whether you’re on the prowl for a unique gift or you simply enjoy local artistry, the North Carolina Pottery Fair is a great event to attend this holiday season.

The weekend of December 10th through the 12th, the Holshouser Building of the N.C. State Fairgrounds will transform into a pottery wonderland featuring the work displayed at the Seagrove and Sanford pottery festivals.  Three North Carolina wineries will be on site for those 21 and up to enjoy a wine tasting while they browse.

A special preview event will be held Dec. 10th, from 3-8 p.m.  Light refreshments will be provided, along with one free glass of wine compliments of the North Carolina wineries sampling throughout the weekend.  If you like what you taste, you can purchase wine by the bottle or by the case.

Tickets for the N.C. Pottery Fair are only $5 for adults and free for children 16 and under.  There is plenty of convenient parking located just down the hill from the Holshouser Building, so you’ll have no problems making your way to what is sure to be a great celebration of local pottery and wine.
