It’s that time of year again.  Soon, celebrities will be flocking to the Triangle for a week of tennis tournaments, parties, fundraisers and golf, all in the name of cancer research.  The V Foundation’s V Week leads up to the premier event of the week, the Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic on the Lonnie Poole Golf Course.

Interested in having a good time while doing some good?  Then come out to Greater Raleigh and participate in one or more of the many cancer research fundraising opportunities.  If you like tennis, then Racquets for Research is the perfect event for you.  On August 14^th, celebrity guest Don Johnson will join you for a tennis tournament that will lead to a day of fun and philanthropy.

If you love partying for a purpose, then the Jimmy V Cruise to Key West is the event for you. On August 20^th, the Raleigh Convention Center will be transformed into a cruise-themed party where you’ll have a great time and raise money to fund cancer research grants.  More elegant, but just as fun, the V Gala for Cancer Research is a black-tie affair on August 21^st, also at the Raleigh Convention Center.

Last but not least, the week ends with the 17^th Annual Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic on August 22^nd.  This classic is open to the public and tickets are only $5.  For more information about these awesome events, visit this site.
