The scariest holiday of the year is almost here, and if you’re wondering how to celebrate your spooky Halloween then look no further than the Dracula performance presented by The Carolina Ballet.  Starting Oct. 13th and running until Oct. 31st, this outstanding Dracula ballet will show on the first Thursday and Friday and then every Saturday and Sunday afterwards.

This new ballet is choreographed by two-time Tony Award-nominee Lynne Taylor-Corbett and is based on Bram Stoker’s classic gothic novel.  Set to original music by J. Mark Scearce, Dracula will be a “double-feature” of sorts, followed on stage by Artistic Director Robert Weiss’ The Masque of the Red Death based on Edgar Allan Poe’s short story.

This ballet performance is the perfect show to attend as you prepare for Halloween festivities, or even if you’re just a vampire fan who enjoys the novel.  Tickets range in price from $25 – $65 and can be purchased here.  The performance takes place at the A.J. Fletcher Opera Theater in the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts.  Buy your tickets today, because Dracula is not a show you’ll want to miss.
