The North Carolina Symphony and some very special guests have the perfect way for you to celebrate the holidays, Carolina style! Introducing A Carolina Christmas, with the world premiere of “The Gathering: A Winter’s Tale in Six Songs,” a stirring, new work by singer-songwriter Laurelyn Dossett in conjunction with the Symphony.

Rest your voice before this celebration, because you’ll need it for the popular Christmas sing-a-long that includes “Hark, the Herald Angels Sing,” “O Holy Night” and more of your favorite holiday carols. What better way to celebrate the season than by belting out holiday classics with your friends and family? With special guests such as Grammy winners Rhiannon Giddens Laffon and Mike Compton, guitar wizard Joe Newberry and the Concert Singers of Cary in attendance, you’re guaranteed to be in good company.

A Carolina Christmas will be performed in the renowned Meymandi Concert Hall Nov. 25th-26th, with an 8 p.m. show on Friday and both 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. shows on Saturday. Tickets for this festivity are $33 to $63 and can be found here.  Make sure to spread goodwill and holiday cheer by donating food items to the Interfaith Food Shuttle Backpack Buddies program at the concert. Go ahead and plan on attending so you can get excited for a joyous, fun event that the whole family will enjoy!
