Greater Raleigh has the solution, with two strong ambassador programs created to open doors for visitors by making themselves available with helpful information and the guidance you’re looking for. Not every city can boast such a specialized group of locals like this.
The Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau’s Tourism Ambassadors can be found all over the area staffing hospitality booths and answering questions at conventions, trade shows, festivals, sporting events and other events attended by out-of-towners. If you happen to find yourself in need of some information while near downtown Raleigh’s Fayetteville Street, just stop on by the GRCVB’s Visitor Information Center, where a Tourism Ambassador will be happy to guide you.
The Downtown Ambassador Program is the Downtown Raleigh Alliance’s effort to make the area an attractive place to live, work or visit. Feel free to approach any Downtown Ambassador, who will be dressed in a red jacket, for recommendations, directions, or a copy of the Guide to Downtown Raleigh. You can also request an escort for safety purposes, as the ambassadors are trained to handle a variety of situations.
