Once you've fueled up, continue with a morning adventure at Lake Benson Park and stroll around the lake for some great #visitRaleigh photo opps. Then stop at the Garner Veterans Memorial to learn about the 67 Garner-area veterans who have died serving their country, as well as historical narratives about the wars and conflicts in which the nation has been involved.

Cool off after a morning of outdoor activity at the original Pelican’s SnoBalls, located on the grounds of 401 Par Golf. Choose from more than 95 flavors of SnoBalls and ice creams like Cherry Margarita or Fruity Pebbles. Open from March to Oct., most guests also opt for a round of mini golf while they're visiting.

For fast-paced afternoon or evening action, put the pedal to the metal and have a friendly go-kart race with friends and family at Rush Hour Karting. Drivers can top out at nearly 40 mph! Try to beat your own best time or challenge others in fast, competitive racing sessions to see who earns the right to be called "champion."

For dinner, take in a great barbecue experience at Carolina Barbecue of Garner, offering up delicious Eastern N.C.-style barbecue, Southern fried chicken, cooked-to-order seafood and down-home country cooking. The homemade banana pudding and peach cobbler are not to be missed!
