Wear your green and celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Raleigh, N.C.! The Raleigh St. Patrick's Day Parade & Wearin' ‘O the Green Festival is Sat., March 11, 10am-7pm at the 400 block of Fayetteville St. This festival celebrates the great St. Patrick as well as Irish and Celtic traditions and culture. Plan to enjoy food and drink, plus activities for kids on Leprechaun Lane. An Irish Village will have Celtic-inspired jewelry and arts and crafts, and live music will be on the Shamrock ‘n Roll Stage and the Celtic Street Stage all afternoon. As a bonus, it's all free!

Not only can you celebrate this special holiday at the festival, but also at the area's awesome Irish pubs and restaurants where you can grab a pint and a bite to eat. Many of these spots are hosting special events in honor of the holiday!

Hibernian Restaurant & Pub

Headed up by passionate mind Niall Hanley, Hibernian Restaurant & Pub celebrates both the old world flavor and the new vibrancy of Ireland. Enjoy an atmosphere of a traditional Irish social club along with the warmth of a Gaelic home kitchen. Take it from us—the Shepherd's Pie and Guinness chocolate mousse are not to miss!

On Sat., March 11, noon-11pm, wear your green and head to the Hibernian's Saint Paddy's Festival at the 300 block of Glenwood South downtown for a free street festival featuring live music, food and drink and Irish dancing throughout the day. This year's festival lineup features some of the region's best in Irish and Celtic, Americana and bluegrass, and wraps up the evening with Love Tribe, one of Raleigh's favorite cover bands.

Hibernian will also be hosting a Saint Paddy's Festival on Fri., March 17. This free street festival runs 6-11pm outside and 11am-2am inside the pub. Enjoy live music, food and drink and Irish dancers throughout the day.

Tir na nOg Irish Pub

With 20 years of history to its name in downtown Raleigh, Tir na nOg is ready to celebrate its first St. Patrick's Day in its brand new location. In conjunction with its sister pub next door, The London Bridge Pub, the two will host an after party following the Raleigh St. Patrick's Day Parade on Sat., March 11. The combined space, with the back patio areas turned into an Irish Village, mean there will be five total bars ready to keep the celebration going strong. Live music from Irish bands starts at 1pm and goes late into the night, with dancers, pipes and drums joining in on the acts.

The following Fri., March 17, Tir na nOg will host another St. Patrick's Day Party. From 10am-midnight, beer, music, food and dancing will run nonstop, both inside and out at the pub. 

Doherty's Irish Pub & Restaurant

Doherty's Irish Pub & Restaurant offers a fun and relaxing atmosphere with delicious Irish-American fare, made fresh daily by Doherty's chefs and his team. This Irish pub also has 17 taps including four local brews, live music, patio seating and private dining for groups.

On Sat., March 11, enjoy live Irish music with 9 Times Around from 3-6pm at Doherty's St. Paddy's Day Party at the Cary location. The fun continues with Irish dancers at 6pm, live music with Mike Mickxer from 7-10pm and a bagpipes performance at 8pm. Stick around for the after-party with DJ George at 10pm.

Doherty's Apex location will also be hosting a St. Paddy's Day Party on Sat., March 11, with live Irish music with Faol Laith at 3pm, Irish dancers at 6pm, live music with Moonlight Rescue and bagpipes at 7pm and an after-party with DJ Jules at 10pm.

O'Malley's Pub & Restaurant

This favorite neighborhood pub has been serving up pints, cocktails and savory meals since 1996. O'Malley's Pub & Restaurant's cozy atmosphere and friendly staff are sure to leave you in good "spirits" this St. Patrick's Day.

Join O'Malley's Pub & Restaurant on Fri., March 17, for green beer, giveaways and much more! Live music will be presented by Chris Overstreet at 2pm and the Magic Pipers Band at 9pm.

Saints & Scholars Irish Pub

North Raleigh's Saints & Scholars Irish Pub serves up homemade food in a dining room lined with Irish decor, plus includes a bar with 15 beers on tap. Bring your pooch this St. Patrick's Day, too, to enjoy their pet-friendly patio with two fire pits and canopies. Saints & Scholars will be hosting a St. Paddy's Day Party on Fri., March 17, 11am-2am.

Pat Murnane's Irish Pub

Grab a Guinness and raise your pint to celebrate St. Patrick's Day at Pat Murnane's Irish Pub. The pub's founder is the great-grandson of Pat Murnane, a bagpipes and tin whistle musician who hailed from County Limerick in Ireland. This place of relaxation, fun and great food is in honor of the man.
