Dr. Robert Ray (well-known composer and faculty member at the University of Missouri St. Louis) and Dr. James Abbington (Professor of Church Music at Emory University and editor of GIA Publications African American Church Music Series) will be with at Edenton to conduct a massed choir in a performance of Dr. Rays Gospel Mass and several choral works showcasing African American composers under the direction of Dr. Abbington in observance of Black History Month.
