Beauty and the Beast
(2017) Directed by Bill Condon. Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Kevin Kline. (129 min.) PG

In this live-action, CGI-boosted enchantment, Emma Watson brings steely resolve to the outcast village Belle, whose superpower is compassion. She'll need it when stranded at a wintry castle, where she must melt the icy heart of a snarling Beast. Sing along with the tunes that are burned into your synapses by the Disney cartoon, and let yourself be happy.

"What Beauty and the Beast rises or falls on is the love story, and here, allowed to slow down to let in intimate moments, the movie catches fire" (Rolling Stone).

Disney title; no alcohol served.
