Paderewski Piano Festival: Jean Dube

November 6, 2016

Canadian-born Dubé is featured in this second session of the third annual Paderewski Festival of Raleigh. Since his first public performances at age four, Dubé has performed on five continents for radio and television, in the most prestigious festivals and the finest orchestras, and for many of the most distinguished conductors. Ignacy Jan Paderewski was a tireless proponent for the reestablishment of the Republic of Poland and a fast friend of Josephus Daniels, a Raleigh resident who served as secretary of the navy during World War I. At his invitation, virtuoso pianist and composer Paderewski played in Raleigh four times.
