Trick-or-Treat the Trails

October 31, 2012

Wondering where to take the kids for a fun and safe place to trick-or-treat on Halloween? Put on your costumes for Trick-or-Treat the Trails at White Deer Park (2400 Aversboro Road) on Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Trick-or-treat your way around the park trails and collect ghoulish treats from local community organizations and businesses. This event is free to the public. An adult must accompany children at all times, and pets are not permitted. Overflow parking will be available at Lake Benson Park (921 Buffaloe Road). The Garner Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department is seeking local businesses and organizations to volunteer their time and provide treats for the event. This is a great (and virtually free) opportunity to not only be a part of the Town’s newest event but also to build awareness of your organization or business among local residents. Halloween falls on a teacher workday, so the Town expects a large turnout.
