Flanders Art Gallery

  • 505 S. Blount St.
    Raleigh, NC 27603

Flanders Gallery was founded in Raleigh in 2006. The gallery was originally located in Seaboard Station, just outside of downtown Raleigh. From 2007-2010 the gallery also curated a project space, Flanders 311, which was committed to exhibiting emerging artists from the N.C. community. In 2009, Flanders Gallery moved into the Warehouse District, directly across the street from the Contemporary Art Museum. The 3,885-square-foot warehouse has been only lightly renovated from it's original industrial structure, with exposed brick, concrete floor and metal roof and doors. With two exhibition spaces, the gallery has become even more committed to cultivating the careers of emerging national and international artists. The gallery continues to explore new concepts in contemporary art through exhibitions using various media. Flanders Gallery is dedicated to exhibiting challenging, provocative and innovative contemporary art, producing 14-18 exhibits each year both in the gallery and in alternative exhibit spaces.
