Fuquay-Varina Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources

The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department is responsible for thirteen park sites with seventeen athletic fields, one gym, and a Community Center offering programs for fitness, education, and recreation. The department sponsors adult athletic leagues and coordinates efforts with the Fuquay-Varina Athletic Association (FVAA) to provide outstanding youth sports programs. This department also programs community events such as the Celebrate Fuquay-Varina, Independence Day Celebration every July 3rd with live music and fireworks, and an annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony.
