About

Built in 1906, the Masonic Temple served as a meeting place for Prince Hall Masons as well as an office building for Black professionals for more than a half-century. The Italianate building’s windows are accented with arched brick hoodmolds; its first story is defined by a cast-iron bracketed cornice, with its main entrance under a cutaway corner supported by a cast-iron column. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is now occupied by small businesses.
