WakeMed Soccer Park

The 150-acre park, which opened in spring 2002 and is located in Cary, N.C., consists of a 7,000-seat stadium and seven additional soccer fields. WakeMed Soccer Park hosted the 2003 and 2004,2006 NCAA Women's College Cups and was the site of the 2005,2007 NCAA Men's College Cup. In addition, WakeMed Soccer Park has hosted the ACC Men's Soccer Championship in 2002,2003,2004,2005,and 2007 and the ACC Women's Championship in 2003,2004,2005,and 2006. The venue is also the former home of the WUSA's Carolina Courage and was the site of the WUSA All-Star Game in 2003. In 2002 and 2006, the U.S. Men's National Team trained at WakeMed Soccer Park prior to departing for the World Cup. The Carolina Railhawks started their inaugural season in April of 2007. The facility is operated and managed by the Town of Cary.
