RALEIGH, N.C. – Planning a getaway to the Greater Raleigh area? The 2007 Official Visitors Guide to Raleigh, Cary and Wake County is now available from the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau and is the premier resource for planning a visit to North Carolina 's Capital City . Highlighting the many aspects of the City Life, Carolina Style embodied through vivid editorial, stunning photographs of Downtown Raleigh, surrounding cities and towns and all that there is to do and see in the area, the 2007 Visitors Guide is a must have resource.
The 2007 guide provides 68-pages of user friendly information in an easy-to-read magazine format and features comprehensive information on local attractions, cultural opportunities, shopping information, sports and recreation options and 124 Greater Raleigh hotel accommodations. Also highlighted are 2007 area maps and a dining guide listing more than 300 restaurants by geographic location.
New to the guide in 2007 is a city-by-city guide of surrounding cities and towns including drive times from Downtown Raleigh, a detailed guide to Cary -- Wake County's second-largest destination, as well as information on the area's most popular entertainment districts and accompanying color coded map. Also included is a calendar of many of the area's most popular events and a listing of frequently called phone numbers including airlines, transportation, medical facilities and chambers of commerce.
