RALEIGH, N.C. – Planning a getaway to the Greater Raleigh area? The 2006 Official Visitors Guide to Raleigh and Wake County is now available from the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau and is the premier resource for planning your visit. Highlighting the many aspects of the City Life, Carolina Style campaign through vivid editorial, stunning photographs of Downtown Raleigh, surrounding cities and towns and all that there is to do and see in the area, the 2006 Visitors Guide is a must have resource.


The 60-page Visitors Guide is in a user friendly, easy-to-read magazine format and features comprehensive information on local attractions, cultural opportunities, shopping information, sports and recreation options, 124 Greater Raleigh hotel accommodations and Downtown Raleigh's entertainment districts. Also highlighted are 2006 area maps and a dining guide listing more than 300 restaurants by geographic location.

The guide also touts Greater Raleigh's TGIF weekend promotion, offering the lowest guaranteed hotel rate at 25 area hotels, more than $20 in savings and offers including a Sprint Calling Card and a $10 Shopping Card to one of three area shopping destinations.
