With over 11 million visitors coming to Raleigh annually, and with the anticipated opening of the Raleigh Convention Center, GRCVB stepped up its efforts earlier this year to push for the center. The Raleigh City Museum graciously agreed to donate the space for the Center, while the GRCVB will staff and supply the materials necessary to operate the center.
Development has exploded throughout the county, particularly with a revitalization of real estate, entertainment and restaurants in downtown Raleigh.
Once recognized primarily as a government town, Raleigh has become known internationally as a world-class destination, boasting museums, best of Broadway shows and concerts, historic sites, the finest shopping, and world-champion professional and amateur sports.
