Once you've booked your meeting or event in North Carolina's Capital City area, the GRCVB can provide a host of services to ensure you can plan and implement a successful event or meeting. Best of all, most of the services are complimentary.

Housing Coordination

Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau is pleased to offer housing services for conventions, meetings and events utilizing two or more hotels. GRCVB is Passkey Enabled which allows us to provide your participants with a state-of-the-art housing program.


Benefits to Attendees:

  • Provides attendees the option of making reservations via fax, mail, and internet in a "real-time" environment.
  • Link into the Passkey reservation system directly from the organization's web-site.
  • View hotel amenities, photos, etc., via the internet.
  • Receive acknowledgements via email, fax or mail for new reservations, modifications and cancellations
  • Provides on-line map of the event facility and all hotels within the organization's block giving distance from each property.


Benefits to Meeting Planners:

  • Our housing staff will assist in the production of the housing form for registration materials.
  • Staff will manage and monitor inventories at all blocked hotels to maximize room blocks and help alleviate attrition.
  • Passkey offers the ability to link Registration to Housing through RegLink which is offered free of charge.
  • On-line reports are available at any time via the internet.
  • Even after the cut-off date, GRCVB has the ability to accept reservations, changes and cancellations (hotels must agree).
  • Final pickup report will be provided showing the original block, what was placed through housing, and the final pickup reported by hotels.

Marketing Assistance and Attendance Promotion

Greater Raleigh CVB can assist your group with pre-promotion and marketing efforts including access to our image library and copy materials for newsletters, event websites and programs, and audio visual presentations. For groups over 500 attendees, we can assist you with customized electronic attendance builders.

Convention/Event Suppliers

Need to find a local transportation company, tour guide, caterer, florist or photographer? Greater Raleigh offers a wonderful array of suppliers! Check out our Event Services Directory, which lists local convention and event suppliers who offer a variety of equipment, will set up any function and will provide a number of necessary services (including destination management companies who will put everything together for you and make your planning much easier) . Or, give our friendly staff a call and we'll be happy to help you find the services you need.

Raleigh Ambassadors

The Raleigh Ambassadors open doors to visitors by staffing hospitality booths and answering questions at conventions, trade shows, festivals, sporting events and any other events that bring out-of-towners to Raleigh. This service is available for groups of 500 or more.
