Student Tours

Kids–and adults–may learn a thing or two while visiting Raleigh, N.C. There's a wealth of fun-filled activities and attractions for student groups, many of which are free!

Start with the North Carolina Museum of Art (free). Gallery tours offer exploratory discussions between the museum guides and students. Visitors will learn about everything from mummies to Monet!

Be awed by the Wells Fargo IMAX Theatre at Marbles Kids Museum, which offers the latest educational films in N.C.’s only 3D-capable, giant-screen theatre setting.

Explore the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences (free), where kids of all ages will love the interactive exhibits of Discovery, Fun and the Curiosity Classes. They will even get to touch and examine live animals!

The Acro Café, located in the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, makes a great lunch stop!

Or try a picnic at one of our beautiful parks. Arrange a fun-filled and educational event with an exotic hands-on animal presentation or a close-up magician who will totally amaze the audience.

Spend the afternoon exploring Raleigh's history. Visit the North Carolina Executive Mansion (free) and ask to hear about the ghost stories! Tour the North Carolina State Capitol (free) where the kids can create their own law in the Legislative Chamber, and tour the North Carolina State Legislative Building (free), where your group can actually see laws being made!

End the day learning about life on the farm at Historic Oak View County Park (free)

EVENING SUGGESTIONS

For dinner, don't miss Jellybeans Super Skate Center for an evening of roller skating.

At Adventure Landing, you can play miniature golf, burn rubber on the Go-kart track, slug it out in the batting cages or take the Pirate's Quest Laser Tag challenge.

Head over to Rush Hour Karting where your older-age group can dine trackside and wiz around in European-style, formula-one race cars.
