The Umstead Hotel and Spa

The six-story hotel, nestled against a 3-acre lake, resides on 12 acres and is surrounded by plush gardens. There are 150 guest rooms and suites that start at 540 square feet: Each with a 42-inch plasma TV, writing desk, wired and wireless Internet access and a stocked refrigerator. A total of 10,200 square feet of indoor meeting and conference space which is highlighted by the 4,015 square foot ballroom that that overlooks the three acre lake. For outdoor venues the 6,000 square foot lawn can accommodate up to 450 guests. Other amenities and services include a 14,500 square foot full service spa that offers ten treatment rooms, separate men’s and ladies lounges, a spa suite for up to six guests and a health club with ten aerobic workout machines, free weights and circuit training. For business travelers there is concierge service, 24 hour Business Center and wireless internet service throughout the hotel as well as by the outdoor heated pool. Our signature restaurant, Herons, offers a modern American dining experience like no other in the region, reflecting our setting in the agriculturally rich Triangle area of North Carolina. The hotel is six minutes to RDU Airport, ten minutes to RBC Center and fifteen minutes to downtown Raleigh and the Research Triangle Park.
