The Raleigh area is the best spot in North Carolina for collegiate sports. With Universities like North Carolina State, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University down the road, there's always an edge-of-your seat football or basketball rivalry in store. St. Augustine's College and Shaw University are CIAA standouts, while women's schools Meredith and Peace play host to championships as well.
