Celebrate Earth Day Raleigh 2008 with festivals, celebrations and events on Saturday, April 19. While Earth Day is officially April 22 that doesn't stop more than eight local organizations from coming together to host simultaneous festivals, helping residents and visitors learn about our planet and how to protect it. The list of events listed below will help you decide how you'd like to make your mark on Earth Day.
- Earth Day 2008: Walk/Run/Bike Tour for Umstead
William B. Umstead State Park. Enjoy live music along the trail and on the main stage while participating in a 4 mile Run/Walk or Mountain Bike Tour. 8am - 3pm. Donation Requested. (919) 571-4170 - Planet Earth Celebration
