Many frequent visitors and locals alike are familiar with the popular First Friday events that take place every month in downtown Raleigh, but what if your visit takes place the following weekend?  Continuing the fun and celebration, the Holly Springs Cultural Center brings you Art After Dark on Second Fridays.

Art After Dark is an organized art walk in Holly Springs and Fuquay-Varina, held in the spirit of supporting local art and the community.  Stops along the art walk for March include art venues such as Ashley’s Art Gallery and the Holly Springs Art Council.  Java Divine Italian Café and Electric Beanz Coffee Bar can provide you with a boost of caffeine during your walk, and Rudino’s Pizza & Grinders is along the way for some great Italian subs and pizza.  Cellar 101 offers wine tasting, live music and a rich display of artwork by local artists for you to enjoy.

Venues sometimes change each month, so be sure to visit the Art After Dark website to see what’s going on for the next Second Friday that you’ll be in town.  This event is free, open to the public of all ages, and a great way to get acquainted with local art in Raleigh’s neighboring towns.
