If you love listening to live bands, then Deja Fest is your Disneyland. On July 22nd -23rd Raleigh will become home to this eclectic musical festival presented by deja Mi, the new and innovative media sharing application of the Triangle. Deja Fest works in cooperation with the popular Hopscotch Music Festival, which will bring hundreds of exceptional artists to Raleigh again in September.

One of the best things about this awesome music festival is that it’s absolutely free. You’ll have access to six venues, including Tir Na Nog, The Pour House and Lincoln Theatre, with no cover charge and tons of great bands. On Friday, check out bands like Hooray for Earth, Nick Catchdubs, Old Bricks, and Double Dare featuring Apple Juice Kid. On Saturday, you’ll hear Surfer Blood, Active Child, AC Slater, and Jack the Radio, to name a few. There are 24 bands in total, so rest assured the entertainment will keep going strong for the full two days of the festival.

This party coincides with the Raleigh launch of deja Mi’s mobile and web application for capturing and sharing photos and videos, so they are hosting fun contests during the event, including the PBR Photo Contest, the Pie Eating Contest, and the deja Mi photo contest. Winners will be awarded with Hopscotch tickets, gift certificates, t-shirts, food and more. Mark your calendars and look forward to another great music festival coming to Raleigh.
