On October 22nd, the Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary will come alive with Indian culture for the much-anticipated Diwali event, Sanskriti – Culture Transcending Borders. This year’s installment highlights how Indian cultural traditions and values have transcended ideological and geographic boundaries, while still maintaining a distinctive identity.

This Diwali event will feature artistic music and dance by local children and dance schools, ethnic arts and crafts, clothing and jewelry. There will be several educational and entertaining exhibits, plus deliciously authentic food choices from all over India.

This year’s grand finale will feature the internationally acclaimed Indian dance ensemble, Mayuri, which is a Russian dance school that has embraced Indian artistic traditions across borders. Mayuri will perform the four main Indian dance styles: BharataNatyum, Kathak, folk dances, and dances in Bollywood music.

General admission is free to the public and includes lawn seating; however, there are $10 Gold Circle seats have limited availability. Parking ranges from $5 - $10. Join in on the celebration and learn to embrace the artistic cultural heritage of India.
