Do you think you have what it takes to eat the 12 doughnuts at the Krispy Kreme Challenge, and still make it to the finish line on time? Whatever tactic you use, have fun and remember that the proceeds of the annual Krispy Kreme Challenge go to the N.C. Children’s Hospital.

If you aren't competing in the Krispy Kreme Challenge, you'll still want to observe the participants dressed in creative costumes scarfing down 12 doughnuts. This year, visitRaleigh.com is proud to present the inaugural K2C Costume Contest. Please visit www.visitRaleigh.com/K2C to find out more on how you can win a Nike+ Fuel Band or a $200 gift card to a Greater Raleigh restaurant of your choice.

The Krispy Kreme Challenge begins at the N.C. State University Bell Tower at 8:30am. If you haven't registered yet, there are still a few Children's Miracle slots left. During the race, you will run 2.5 miles and receive a box of 12 doughnuts upon your arrival to the Krispy Kreme on 549 N. Person St. If you are registered as a "challenger" you must go through the challenger chute and show your empty Krispy Kreme box before running another 2.5 miles back to campus. My stomach hurts just thinking about it!
