Billy Graham and His Journey of Faith

Lifelong Learners have many options in Feb., ranging from thought-provoking museum exhibits to events celebrating Black History Month. The North Carolina Museum of History presents the free exhibit N.C.'s Favorite Son: Billy Graham and His Remarkable Journey of Faith (through 7/10), which explores the life of Billy Graham and his ministry spanning several decades. Visitors to the 5,000-square-foot exhibit will discover the roots of a N.C. dairy farmer's son and how he became a worldwide ambassador of the Gospel. Retrace Graham's steps through personal memorabilia, interactive displays and compelling multimedia that help bring his story to life. Extreme Mammals continues (through 3/27) at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences where you'll learn about the diverse world of mammals and their history; the fascinating mammals featured, big and small, surprise and intrigue audiences of all ages.

Celebrate Black History Month in Raleigh, N.C., with a selection of more than 50 African-American heritage attractions to explore, including landmarks and markers in art, business, education, medicine, politics, religion and more. If you're looking for events at which to celebrate, the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre welcomes Bright Star Touring Theatre for their performances of African Folktales (2/4) and Freedom Songs: The Music of Black History (2/18).

If your musical taste extends into classical music, you'll enjoy the North Carolina Symphony's presentation of The Firebird (2/12-13). Head to the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts where you'll sing along to all the songs during Invincible: A Glorious Tribute to Michael Jackson (2/19), and Third Day and Brandon Heath make a stop at the venue during the "Lead Us Back" tour (2/25). With a touch of R&B and some funk, The Jones Family Singers (2/21) put their own spin on gospel music at the Garner Performing Arts Center.
