Artistic Director Robert Weiss has been highly praised by The Washington Post for creating the “best full-evening story ballets of the past quarter-century.”  Now, in true holiday spirit, Weiss brings the Nutcracker to downtown Raleigh this December at the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts.

This elaborately beautiful performance features multiple rotating casts, gorgeous sets and costumes, and exciting special effects that will reel you in.  Tchaikovsky’s memorable score will be played by a live orchestra, making Weiss’ Nutcracker the perfect story ballet to watch again and again.

Performances will take place from Dec. 17th to the 26th and will include morning, matinee and evening shows.  Tickets to this magical performance can be found here, and sell for $20 to $80.  There’s nothing that quite compares with watching one of the great classical story ballets in one of the most spectacular performing arts centers in the region.
