About
Join us to learn about Plott Hounds, the official state dog of North Carolina. Plott Hounds have been raised in the United States for over 250 years, and are the only recognized dog breed from North Carolina. Author, storyteller, wood carver, and descendant of the family that bred the first Plott Hounds, Bob Plott will tell the story of how the breed gained worldwide notoriety as a hunting dog. The breed’s legacy, along with that of the Plott family, extends across the state.
