Don’t miss the big 79th North Carolina Gourd Arts and Crafts Festival on November 6 and 7 at the State Fairgrounds in Raleigh. This festival features displays of gourds from around the world, special gourd workshops, and vendors of dried gourds, gourd seeds, gourd crafts, gourd art, books, t-shirts, and crafting supplies. Great holiday presents! A variety of competitive categories are awarded ribbons and prizes. There is a free gourd crafting table for children. Admission is only $3 for persons age 13 and older and children 12 and under are admitted for free. Hours are 9-5 on Saturday and 10-4 on Sunday.
