The American Brass Quintet (ABQ) is internationally recognized as one of the premier chamber ensembles of its kind. Since its founding in 1960, ABQ has been a driving force in redefining the brass repertoire through innovative performances and over 150 commissioned works. The group’s acclaimed recordings span centuries, from Renaissance transcriptions to groundbreaking contemporary pieces. ABQ has been the ensemble-in-residence at The Juilliard School for over 30 years and has received Chamber Music America’s highest honor—the Richard J. Bogomolny National Service Award. With performances across five continents and a commitment to education and artistry, the American Brass Quintet remains a beacon of excellence in chamber music
