An Evening with Tyler Nail

About

Tyler Nail – Hailing from Winston-Salem, NC, Tyler Nail is a dynamic Americana songwriter whose music is deeply rooted in North Carolina’s cultural landscape. Raised in a log cabin built by his grandfather, his songs reflect life among tobacco barns, tin roofs, and Appalachian traditions. Known for his raspy, textured voice, thick accent, and distinctive two-finger guitar picking, Nail blends complex melodies with vivid storytelling.

From early performances in his parents’ church choir to gigs in local venues, Nail has released a series of acclaimed projects, including Winter to Winter (2012), Feathers (2014), Under Evergreens (2016), the double album Life Lessons (2019), the darker DEVIL EP (2021), and his latest, Family, a pure and acoustic tribute to the people and places that shaped him.

Praised as “an accomplished singer-songwriter with a well-rounded Americana flavor” by Ear to the Ground Music and recognized as “a key player” in North Carolina’s singer-songwriter heritage by Aldora Britain Records, Tyler Nail captures the heart of Americana through songs that honor family, place, and resilience.
