About
The Fifth Annual “April Love” Senior Talent Show will take center stage at Wake Forest's Renaissance Centre for the Arts! This event will bring together generations of performers for an evening of music, talent, and community. This highly anticipated two-hour program showcases the remarkable talents of local seniors, and highlights their creativity and lifelong passion for the arts. A signature segment of the show, “Bridging the Gap,” includes performers of the younger generation in collaborative performances that celebrate unity across all ages.
This year’s event will also include a tribute to the beloved Algia Motley, whose warmth, humor, and love of music brought joy to so many. Following a tragic accident last year, Motley’s absence has been deeply felt by all who knew him. He played an integral role in the history of “April Love,” serving as producer and Master of Ceremonies in 2022, when the event debuted as the very first fundraiser for The Senior Network.
Since its inaugural event, which featured a special welcome video from legendary entertainer Pat Boone, “April Love” has embraced its mission to foster intergenerational connection. Local teenagers volunteer each year as ushers and usherettes, reinforcing the event’s commitment to bringing young and old together.
All proceeds go directly to supporting seniors across our community. Please support this amazing organization and honor the legacy of a local hero by attending.
