About
From The Art Inside the Bottle, we bring a new chapter—one rooted in the ancient origins of wine. In Greece and Rome, wine held divine power, fueling celebration, prophecy, and devotion. The gods didn’t simply bless vineyards—they drank from them.
In this experience, we’ll explore how mythology, sculpture, and ritual shaped wine across time. We’ll uncover Dionysus and Bacchus through marble and myth, and follow the evolution of vessels—from amphora and ceramic to concrete and glass—each one influencing how wine tasted, aged, and was understood. Taste five wines from Greece, Italy, Georgia, and Spain, each thoughtfully paired with multiple courses crafted by the Catering Works Executive Chef.
Join NCMA Curator, the Vitis House team, and Catering Works Executive Chef for a journey where art, food, and wine meet—connecting ancient traditions to the modern glass.
