Beginners Conga Drumming Class

Learn to play Caribbean music with Greg Whitt of Drum for Change in this beginner-friendly percussion class. Explore folkloric rhythms on congas, bongos, claves, maracas, guiro, chekere, guataca, and more, covering styles from Puerto Rico, Cuba, Belize, Haiti, Brazil, and beyond. All instruments are provided, and no experience is necessary.

Classes meet in Midtown Raleigh from 7–8pm on the third Monday of each month at a private residence (exact location provided upon registration). Suitable for adults and accompanied teens, this session is led by Greg Whitt, a seasoned teaching artist and founder of the Raleigh Drum Circle.
