About

Castrator is a multinational, all-woman death metal band formed in 2013 by bassist Robin Mazen and drummer Carolina Perez, known for their brutal, old-school sound and confrontational, feminist lyrics addressing social injustice and historical atrocities. The New York City-based project has released the acclaimed debut full-length album Defiled in Oblivion (2022) and the follow-up Coronation of the Grotesque (2025), featuring members from the U.S., Mexico, Norway, Sweden, and Colombia.  

Desolus is an American black/thrash metal band from the Washington D.C. area, formed in 2019, known for their aggressive, old-school sound reminiscent of bands like Kreator and Sodom. The band features Jimmy Frost (guitars/vocals), Vivek Rangarajan (bass/vocals), and Travis Stone (drums), the latter being a well-known musician from bands like Noisem and Pig Destroyer.
