"It's TICA time is presenting their annual cat show. This event is open to the public. Everyone is welcome to come and watch the judging, learn about the different cat breeds, interact with the breeders & exhibitors, cheer on their favorite cats, visit the vendors or adopt cats / kitten from local shelters.
The cat show is a judged event where cats from all over the world compete to win titles within the TICA organization by entering their cats to be judged in accordance to a written breed standard. Both pedigreed and companion (household) cats are admissible. Pedigree cats are compared to a breed standard, and the owners of those judged to be closest to the standard are awarded a prize. Household pets are judged based on their beauty and temperament. At the end of the year, all of the points accrued at various shows are added up and international and regional titles are awarded."
