Join us on Earth Day at Wake Forest Baptist Church for a discussion with Dr Robert George as he talks to us about working to be good stewards of the natural world, particularly with an eye to the impact of climate change on the North Carolina coast.
Dr. George taught marine biology for 35 years at UNCW. In 2008 Dr. George moved to Wake Forest with his wife Chandra George to live in Heritage. Dr. George is the leader of the Creation Care Small Group in Hope Lutheran Church in Wake Forest. Dr. George is also Science Advisor at the Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He was recipient of U.S. Antarctic Service Medal twice. Dr. George was Fulbright Professor twice to India (1984,1988). Dr. George was USA-USSR National Academy of Science Professor in Russia for 3 months. Dr. George serves on UN and USA Government climate policy boards and travels extensively to give talks in several international conferences on climate change. Dr. George has authored 3 books and recently wrote a chapter in 2019 book on “Theology and Science.”
