When Emily Page's father was diagnosed with dementia, she began a series of paintings about her family's journey. She also wrote a book, "Fractured Memories: Because Demented People Need Love, Too." She utilizes the elephant as a symbol for dementia because "an elephant never forgets," and features music throughout the series of paintings to honor her father's career as a jazz musician.
