About
Hammer time! There is a satisfaction gained by using a tool that you made with your own hands.
Participants in this class will make a small hammer from start to finish. Using one-inch square 4140 steel, we will punch and shape the eye of the hammer followed by forging the desired ends. We will heat treat the hammer head and discuss a few various treatment methods. Last we will attach a wooden handle. You will leave with a hammer that's ready to use!
The Forging Intro course is required to take this course, and the Forging II class is recommended but not mandatory.
