About
This distinguished ensemble features violinist Kevin Zhu, winner of the Paganini International Violin Competition and recipient of the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant; violist Matthew Lipman, a Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center artist and the highest-ranking American at the Primrose International Viola Competition; cellist Gabriel Martins, a Concert Artists Guild winner and recipient of the 2020 Sphinx Competition Gold Medal; and pianist Victor Santiago Asunción, a Steinway Artist and founder of the FilAm Music Foundation, praised for his “exquisite phrasing and fluid technique” (Washington Post).
Together, they bring an extraordinary pedigree of solo and chamber music accolades, having performed at Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Kennedy Center, and collaborated with luminaries such as Joshua Bell, Itzhak Perlman, and the Emerson String Quartet. Their collective artistry is grounded in elite training from institutions such as Juilliard, Curtis, Colburn, and Yale.
This powerhouse quartet promises an elegant afternoon of musical poetry and expressive brilliance—an unmissable highlight of the season.
