Hanabie is a metalcore band from Tokyo, Japan. The four female members — vocalist Yukina, guitarist Matsuri, bassist Hetsu and drummer Kaede — met in high school and began making music in 2015, combining the loud, brash sounds of metalcore with Harajuku-style aesthetics. Initially a cover band, the foursome released their first single, “Crash Over,” independently in 2016. Kaede exited the band shortly thereafter, leading to the band cycling through a number of drummers. HANABIE.’s self-released debut album, Girl’s Reform Manifest, arrived in 2021 and two years later, they signed a record deal with Epic Records Japan.
