It's Me: Chicago (INYIM)"! Winner of the "Best TV Series - by a Black Filmmaker" award at the 2026 International Black & Diversity Film Festival and the “Best Indie TV Pilot - Unscripted” award winner at the 2026 ATX TV Festival, join us for this one-night only event as folks enjoy time mingling with other singles before and after the screening presentation. After the screening, stick around for a Q&A session with the series creator and Raleigh's own Anthony L. Williams (Thicker Than Blood, Absolutely Positive) as he shares what's happening next with the show, how you can help support the completion and distribution of this one-of-a-kind series, and his vision for producing a season in RDU!
SYNOPSIS: Three bachelors re-embark into the dating scene -- some for their first time, and others hopefully for their last! While receiving expert guidance on healthy relationships, sex, and vulnerability, the niches and experiences of modern queer dating will be tossed aside as our bachelors find themselves in the midst of personal growth while attending individual and group mental health therapy sessions. Along their journeys of receiving clinical coaching and support, they'll also receive tools to help unpack baggage and trauma from previous relationships so that they don’t take them into the new ones they’re starting to build.
Grab your boo or chosen family and cozy up to a show that holds a mirror up to a dating pool that's challenging to wade, will leave you thinking deeper before that next swipe, and will help re-establish genuine connection that celebrates relationships and life through laughter and love.
Proceeds from this event will go toward the completion of the docuseries & supporting continued services at the LGBT center of raleigh.
