Join us at the Park for a soulful Juneteenth Celebration with Historian Darrell Stover. Experience Songs of Freedom through live reenactments, spoken word, and a saxophone summit. A day of unity, culture, and joy honoring resilience, liberation, and the spirit of freedom! 

All performances will be on the Great Lawn Pavilion: 3 – 7 p.m.: Art Cart in the Nest Pavilion, 3:30 p.m.: Procession and Welcome, Djembe Drummers, dance by Toni Hall and USCT Re-enactors with choir. 4 p.m.: Pleasant Grove Choir Performance. 4:45 p.m.: Poetry Performances- Dasan Ahanu & Kim Arrington. 6 p.m.: Performance by Mavis Poole and Soul Understated. 6:45 p.m.: Performance by Dr. Ajamu Dillahunt Holloway – Freedom Songs Then and Now. 8 p.m.: Saxophone Summit Performances. Dexter Moses and Friends – Sax players Dr. Ira Wiggins and Brian Miller. Food Trucks will be available at Park St Courts.
