My Two Homelands is a series of oil paintings, which contain locations that have become important to me in my original and my adoptive homelands. Nearly fourteen years ago I moved from my birthplace Żyrardów Poland to Cary, NC USA. Even though time has passed, I often miss my home country. Many of my landscapes are an expression of this longing. Just like a transplanted plant slowly takes root in new soil, I was going through a slow process of getting used to a new place and culture.
