About
Connect with a community of incredible artists all in one space…
In collaboration with Artspace NC:
Join us and dive into the complexities of oil painting to refine your skills. Led by Artspace’s first HBCU Resident Jalen Jackson, this three-hour workshop is designed for intermediate oil painters looking to improve their representation of skin tones in their artwork. Working with a live model, participants will get hands-on exposure and direction on the nuances of mixing colors to match desired skin tones. A fully fleshed-out figurative painting will not be the final product. Rather, participants will leave with the technical know-how for achieving realistic skin tones and the confidence to explore it further beyond our workshop.
Artspace, your host for this event, is a non-profit visual arts center located in Downtown Raleigh. Visit Artspace for a multitude of exhibitions featuring national and local artists and to enjoy a community of more than 35 artists working in studio, artists in residence, and to find other art classes for all ages and abilities.
