Explore the rich history of ancient Egypt and Nubia in this engaging lecture series examining two powerful civilizations of the Nile Valley. Through art and artifacts from the NCMA’s Egyptian collection and works featured in Ancient Nubia: Excavating Treasures of the Nile, this series highlights the cultural exchange, competition, and shared legacy of these neighboring societies.
Presented in partnership with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Duke University, the program is led by former art history professor and museum educator Kris Door, who brings decades of teaching experience and deep knowledge of the NCMA collection.
