The Joel Fund’s Operation ART Spring Student Showcase will feature a gallery of artwork by our military-connected Operation ART Students. This year, we are excited to partner with a few local organizations to celebrate our Operation ART Community. The showcase will be hosted at Broadsides and Brews in downtown Wake Forest and feature a rum tasting from Outer Banks Distilling. Throughout the weeklong event, there will be a live reading, a performance opportunity, a chance to participate in a collaborative art project, and a raffle featuring items from TJF and Outer Banks Distilling. Please stop by throughout the week to view the artwork and participate in any number of these activities.
Schedule of events: Tuesday, May 13th, 6 – 8 pm – Meet the Artists event. Tuesday, May 13th – Sunday, May 18th – Collaborative Art Project. Tuesday, May 13th – Sunday, May 18th – Raffle ticket purchasing available. Wednesday, May 14th, 6 – 9 pm – Rum Tasting with Outer Banks Distilling. Friday, May 16th, 7 – 11 pm – Operation ART performs during Broadsides’ Center Stage Event. Sunday, May 18th, 2 – 4 pm – Student reception with live reading and picking the raffle winner. Artwork viewable until 4 PM.
